You were made for
more than just getting by.

Fit for the Calling is about what's actually keeping you stuck, and it's not what you think. This isn't another book about discipline. It's about identity, purpose, and the surprisingly simple path to the health your calling requires.

Book available April 1st

Sound Familiar?

Deep down, you know you were made for something. A purpose. A calling. A life that actually matters. You can feel it — but you can't quite get to it.
Because you're tired. You're anxious. You're running on fumes and coping with whatever gets you through the day. The things you know you should be doing for your health — you can't seem to make them stick. And every time you try, you're met with a wall of noise: eggs are good, eggs are bad. Cardio is king, no wait — lift heavy. Keto. Carnivore. Ozempic. Intermittent fasting. Some influencer with abs telling you it's simple when nothing about it feels simple.
So you stay stuck. Not because you're lazy — but because you're overwhelmed, exhausted, and carrying a weight that was never yours to carry alone.
Here's what most health books won't tell you: the reason you can't make it stick isn't a willpower problem. It's an identity problem. You don't need another meal plan. You need to understand who you are first — and then the rest gets remarkably simpler.
That's what this book is about. Taking the yoke off your shoulders. Helping you feel lighter. Reminding you that you're loved, you have a purpose, and you are worthy of the health it takes to live it out. And then giving you the clearest, simplest tools to get there.

What People Are Saying

James & Stephanie Pitkin
Pastor & Faith Leader
“I think taking responsibility for our spiritual and physical condition is huge, it leads to wholeness. Kyle does a great job of breaking down the barriers that either trip us up or prevent us from trying at all.  His approach to change is patient, progressing one level at a time, taking you through his own pain and experiences, his own journey and growth, with a heart to help others find what he did. He pairs his deep understanding of fitness, nutrition and finally a revelation of what wholeness REALLY is by centering in on God’s original design of His sons and daughters: healed, loved, and covered.  I think it's a journey of internal, spiritual wholeness, that led to an external, physical wholeness. I believe this book will help others find the wholeness and freedom that Kyle did, or at the very least, set them on that journey.”
Dan Miller
Founder and CEO, Eternum Longevity Center
“You woke up today in one of the most beautiful temples ever built; that human body your soul does it’s earthly works in. If you’re looking to serve your community better, and longer, Fit For The Calling is a must read! Kyle perfectly lays out the science and scripture of why and how to take care of your greatest gift. Straightforward, easy to read, and filled with easy-to-implement actions.”
Nancy Girres
Vistage Chair & Leadership Coach
“Kyle Recchia refuses to separate physical health from spiritual truth, and that's exactly what makes Fit for the Calling so transformative. Drawing from over a decade in fitness and his own near-devastating health journey, he offers time-tested principles anchored in the reality that God cares about our bodies and redeems our struggles for His glory. Fit for the Calling isn't another quick-fix fitness book—it's an invitation to steward your body as someone deeply beloved by God."
Cassie Crow
Senior Workshop Facilitator & Facilitated Self Inquiry Coach
"As a personal development facilitator, I see every day how difficult it is for people to access their potential when their bodies are depleted and how powerful it is when they are supported from the inside out. Fit for the Calling is a beautiful tapestry of memoir, health wisdom, and Scripture that reframes health as more than optimization - it is stewardship in service of one’s deeper purpose. With clarity and compassion, Kyle has tested the theories, done the research, and distilled what endures across every domain of health - nutrition, strength building, sleep, and mental well-being - into a clear, livable path. This book offers a practice that nurtures healthy living, reminding us that health is not about perfection, but about becoming strong, capable, and truly available to realize our greatest potential."

Transformation

Today: stronger than ever. Leading thousands toward transformation. Writing the book he needed when he was lost.

This isn't a diet plan or a workout program. It's a guide to becoming the person you were created to be — body, mind, and spirit.

About Kyle →

This isn't just another health book.

Most health books tell you how to eat, sleep, and exercise. This one starts with why.
Why your kids need you present, not exhausted on the couch. Why your spouse needs you strong, not checked out. Why your calling needs you ready, not sidelined by brain fog, chronic pain, or burnout.
You didn't pick up this book to get abs. You picked it up because something inside you knows you were made for more.

The Foundation

Before a single habit changes, you need to know who you are. This section is about identity —understanding that you are loved, you have a purpose, and you are worthy of health. Without it, every diet and workout plan eventually collapses.

The Path

Exercise that works in 20 minutes, twice a week. Mental health tools for the war between your ears. Sleep and recovery that's sacred, not lazy. Nutrition without dogma or guilt. Simple tools. Biggest impact. No extremes.

The Purpose

Why getting healthy isn't about you — it's about who you're meant to serve. Plus honest, no-hype takes on advanced topics: HRT, GLP-1s, peptides, and more.
"This book was written to make you feel hopeful, not heavy. Empowered, not exhausted. Clear, not confused."

About Kyle

Kyle Recchia is the CEO of The Perfect Workout and FastFit — companies that have helped over 70,000 people transform their health through science-backed, time-efficient strength training.

But this book didn't come from a boardroom. It came from years of chronic illness that doctors couldn't diagnose, a quiet battle with food and alcohol, and a faith that was tested to its breaking point. Kyle rebuilt his health through functional medicine, relentless research, and the same approach he now brings to thousands of members: simple, sustainable, no-extreme-anything.

He holds certifications from NASM and Precision Nutrition, has completed graduate-level coursework through Harvard, and has been a Vistage member for over a decade. But his most important credentials are the ones you can't put on a résumé: husband to Tiffani, dad to four boys, and a guy who learned that getting healthy isn't about perfection — it's about preparation for what matters most.

Praises for Fit for the Calling

"If quality of life matters to you, put this book at the top of your reading list—today! No judgment. No guilt. No shame. Just clear, practical solutions in a noisy world, helping you show up better for yourself and the people you love."

-Cathi

"Most fitness books are practical at best, gimmicky at worst. Most spiritual books are spiritual at best, heresy at worst. Kyle threads a needle in this book, presenting deep truths from both realms, combining them into a compelling case for stewarding our bodies as a way to “store up our treasures in heaven”

-David

“I enjoyed reading this book so much that I’m also having my teenage boys read it. It’s a great mixture of faith and fitness and information that Kyle has figured out for us all over the years. I got so much out of it and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to read it and pass it on.”

-Ashley

"I have known Kyle all of his life. I am his grandmother. I have also seen the influence on his life from genetics, environment & culture. He has always aimed for excellence & learned on the journey so that he has made mid-point corrections along the way. This focus has equipped him to find truth & build on that. I trust his judgement because I have seen his mid-course corrections on this journey. The journey continues."

-Sabra

“Fit for the Calling” is going to pluck some strings! It’s intentional! Delicately written as useful guideposts to bring you into harmony, not just within yourself, but also with God and others, the words of wisdom are spelled out through Kyle’s own knowledge and life experiences gleaned from years of trial and error that he so humbly made transparent for the benefit of every reader! You’ll be better educated and truly inspired! Read it for yourself. Implement it for your well-being. Promote it through your calling."

-Lea

"What I love about Fit for the calling is that it simplifies the way I view the world. By compartmentalizing and breaking down common lies and barriers to our health, Kyle did a great job at highlighting misconceptions. As a Christian and gym fanatic myself, I’ve encountered so many hurdles and mental blocks that have kept me from reaching my full potential. I’m sharing this book with all of my loved ones!"
